About the Department

The Department of Physiology teaches normal functions of the human body and explains how different systems maintain life and homeostasis. It helps students understand the working of organs before they study diseases in Pathology and clinical subjects. In the MBBS curriculum of Kyrgyzstan, Physiology is taught with both theory and laboratory-based practical training.

Course Details

The course covers blood, nerve and muscle, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, renal system, endocrine system, reproductive system and central nervous system. Practical work may include blood pressure recording, ECG basics, spirometry, reflex testing, blood grouping and interpretation of physiological results.
