About the Department

The Department of Histology teaches the microscopic structure of tissues and organs. It helps students understand how cells and tissues form different body systems. Histology supports Anatomy, Pathology and clinical diagnosis because many diseases are identified through microscopic tissue examination.

Course Details

The course includes epithelial tissue, connective tissue, cartilage, bone, muscle, nervous tissue, blood vessels, lymphoid organs, digestive system, respiratory system, urinary system and reproductive system. Students practice slide identification, microscope use, diagram drawing and tissue recognition.
