About the Department

The Department of General Surgery provides training in surgical diseases, operative principles and patient care. It helps students understand surgical diagnosis, emergency management and pre-operative and post-operative care.

Course Details

The course includes wounds, trauma, shock, burns, abdominal surgery, hernia, appendicitis, gallbladder disease, surgical infections and basic operative techniques. Students observe operation theater procedures, sterilization methods, suturing basics and surgical case discussions.
